Flood Risk Environmental is an independent flood risk and drainage consultancy founded by Antony Riozzi, a specialist consultant with over 17 years' experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments, SuDS drainage strategies and detailed drainage designs for planning applications across England and Wales.
We work directly with developers, architects, planning consultants and land agents to deliver technically robust, planning-ready reports that satisfy the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities and Local Planning Authorities at first submission.

As an independent specialist consultancy, flood risk and drainage is all we do. We don't offer ecology, transport, architecture or any other discipline — just focused, expert flood risk and drainage work. This means our advice is always informed by deep, current knowledge of NPPF, PPG, EA guidance and LLFA requirements.

Every FRA, drainage strategy and technical report we produce is written specifically to address the requirements of your local planning authority and LLFA. We don't use generic templates — each report is tailored to your site, your development proposal and the known concerns of your specific LPA and LLFA consultee.

Antony founded Flood Risk Environmental after more than 17 years in civil, flood risk and drainage engineering — experience gained across the three parts of the industry that matter most for getting an application approved:
- Local government (LLFA): at Leicestershire County Council, assessing drainage and flood risk submissions as a Lead Local Flood Authority — so he knows exactly how your report will be reviewed.
- House-building: at Miller Homes, supervising the construction of attenuation ponds and drainage — so his designs are practical and buildable, not just theoretical.
- Consultancy: in multidisciplinary practice, delivering FRAs, drainage strategies and detailed design across England and Wales.
He is fluent in the policy and technical frameworks that govern flood risk — the NPPF and Planning Practice Guidance, the National SuDS Standards and CIRIA C753, TAN15 in Wales, and Environment Agency standing advice and data — and prepares every report personally, so clients get senior expertise and one point of contact from start to finish.
